WEDNESDAY), BRINGING SHOWERS TO MANY PLACES. THE LOW CROSSES THE
NORTH ISLAND DURING THURSDAY (BOXING DAY) AND STRONG SOUTH TO
SOUTHWEST WINDS SPREAD OVER THE COUNTRY IN ITS WAKE. WINDS EASE OVER
THE SOUTH ISLAND ON FRIDAY AS A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN FROM
THE WEST. THE RIDGE MOVES NORTHEAST ON SATURDAY WHILE A FRONT,
