CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 in the south-east, otherwise SE to E 15 to
25 reaching 30 over the central parts but Cyclonic 30 to 40 in
the north-west. It will become NE 10 to 20 in the south-west
by mid-period.
VIS : Good in the north-east but in the west by mid-period,
otherwise moderate to poor in showers and rain but very poor
in the north-west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south and western half, with SW swell,
reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the north-west, with E swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : S to SW 10 to 15 in the extreme south-east at first but in the
extreme south-west by end of period, otherwise E to SE 15 to
25 reaching 30 to 35 in the north but N to NE 15 to 25 in the
north-west, reaching 30 to 40 in the south-west during the
first half of the period, where it will become SW 15 to 25.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain but very poor in the
south-west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m over the western and central parts, reaching 4.5m
in the extreme south-west during the first half of the period,
with SE to E swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : SE to E 15 to 25, reaching 30 in the south-east, becoming
variable 05 to 10 over the central parts during the second
half of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the north
but in the south at first.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the south-east, with SE to E swell.
MADAGASCAR EAST (10S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : NE 20 to 30 in the south-west, otherwise SE to E 10 to 20
reaching 25 in the north-west.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain in places.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the south-west, with SW swell.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : SW 10 to 20 in the north-east during the first half of the
period, otherwise W to NW 15 to 25 reaching 30 to 40 in the
south but variable 05 to 10 in the north.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the south-
west, drifting to the south-east towards end of period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the south-west by mid-
period, spreading to the south-east towards end of period,
with SW to W swell.
