CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : NW 15 to 25 in the east, reaching 30 in the south-east during
the first half of the period, otherwise S to SW 15 to 25 but
SE 15 to 25 in the north-west, and in the south-west during
the second half of the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, except in the south.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the south-east, with W to NW swell but in the
south-west towards end of period, with mainly SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 in the east, otherwise E to SE 10 to 20
reaching 25 to 30 in the south-west towards mid-period but NE
to N 10 to 20 in the north-east and NW 10 to 20 in the south.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the north
and south-west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the south-west towards mid-period, with SE
swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : Variable 05 over the central parts, otherwise E to SE 10 to
20 but NE to E 05 to 15 in the south-west, spreading over the
western parts by mid-period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers in the north.
MADAGASCAR EAST (10S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : S to SW 15 to 25 in the north-west, otherwise N to NW 10 to 20
reaching 25 in the south-west but variable 05 to 10 in the
south-east at first.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, except in the south-
east.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : S to SW 15 to 25 in the north-west, but 30 in the north,
otherwise NW to W 15 to 25 reaching 30 to 35 in the south-
west, spreading to the south towards end of period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain in the north-east during
the first half of the period, but in the south-west towards
end of period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the north-east and south-west, where it will
reach 4.0 to 6.0m towards end of period, with W to SW swell.
