WIND : NW 10 to 20 in the north-east at first, otherwise S to SE 20
to 30 reaching 35 to 40 in the central-north, spreading to the
north-east towards mid-period but E to NE 25 to 35 in the
west.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the north-
east.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 5.5m over the central parts,
spreading to the north-east by mid-period, while becoming with
E to NE swell in the west.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : NE to N 15 to 25 in the north-east at first, otherwise SW to S
15 to 25 reaching 30 to 40 over the western half, drifting
over the central parts by mid-period, while becoming SE 15 to
25 in the west but NE 15 to 25 in the south-west towards end
of period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m over the western half spreading to the east
towards end of period, while reaching 5.0 to 7.0m in south and
south-east, with SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : SW to S 10 to 20 reaching 25 to 30 in the south-west during
the first half of the period but NE to E 10 to 20 in the
north.
VIS : Good, but moderate in rain and showers over the southern half,
spreading to the north towards end of period.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m in the south-west, spreading over the southern
half by end of period, with SW to S swell.
MADAGASCAR EAST (10S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : E to SE 10 to 20 in the north, otherwise NE to N 10 to 20 but
W to NW 15 to 25 in the south. It will become SW 15 to 25 in
the south-west towards mid-period
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the extreme south-west towards end of period,
with SW swell.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : SW 15 to 25 reaching 30 in the south-east at first. It will
become W to NW 20 to 30 in the south-west towards mid-period,
spreading to the south-east towards end of period.
VIS : Good, becoming moderate in snow-showers in the south during
the second half of the period.
SEA STATE: 5.0 to 7.0m but 3.5 to 4.5m in the west, spreading to the east
by mid-period, with mainly W to SW swell.
