CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : NW 15 to 25 in the south-east, otherwise S to SW 15 to 25
reaching 30 to 40 in the north during the first half of the
period but SE 15 to 25 in the south-east and central parts.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain in places, clearing from
the west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m, reaching 4.0 to 4.5m in the north during the
first half of the period, with SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 over the central parts, otherwise N to NE 15
to 25 reaching 30 in the north but S to SW 15 to 25 in the
west, where it will reach 35 to 40 at first, spreading to the
south towards mid period. It will become variable 05 to 10 in
the south-west towards end of period
VIS : Good but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the south,
clearing from the west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m, reaching 4.0 to 4.5m in the west and central
parts during the first half of the period, with S to SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 over the central parts, otherwise N to NE 05
to 15 but SE to E 10 to 20 in the north, and in the south-west
towards end of period.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in the north during the
first half of the period.
MADAGASCAR EAST (10S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : NE 15 to 25 in the south, otherwise SE to E 10 to 20 reaching
25 in the north-west.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, except in the south-
west.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 in the north-west, otherwise W to SW 15 to
25 reaching 30 in the south-east at first. It will become N to
NE 15 to 25 in the west and E 20 to 30 in the south-west
towards end of period.
VIS : Good but moderate to poor in rain and showers in the north-
east but in the west with possible snow-showers towards mid-
period.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m, reaching 5.0 to 7.0m in the south-east at first,
with mainly SW swell.
