WIND : N to NW 20 to 30 over the eastern half, otherwise SW 15 to 25
reaching 30 to 35 in the south but variable 05 to 10 in the
south-west, where it will become W to NW 20 to 30 by mid-
period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, except over the central
parts.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m in the south, spreading to the south-east by mid-
period, while moderating from the west, with SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : S to SW 10 to 20 in the west but in the south-west at first,
otherwise E to NE 15 to 25 reaching 30 in the north, becoming
variable 05 to 10 over the central parts by mid-period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the south and west.
SEA STATE: 3.0m with SW swell, but 3.5m in the north with E to NE swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 over the central parts, otherwise SE 10 to
20 reaching 25 in the north-east but N to NE 05 to 15 in the
south during the first half of the period.
VIS : Good but moderate in ss, except in the south-
west.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : SE to E 25 to 35 in the north-west at first, otherwise W to SW
10 to 20 but N to NE 15 to 25 in the north. It will become NW
15 to 25 in the south-west by mid-period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain in places.
SEA STATE: 3.0m with W to SW swell, but 3.5 to 4.5m in the north at
first, with N to NW swell.
