CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : N to NE 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 45 over the east and
central in the first half of the period, and again in the west
by the second half of the period.
VIS : Good in the east otherwise moderate in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m reaching 6.5m to 7.0m in the south and central at
first as well as in the extreme west towards the end of the
period, cyclonic swell but SE in the east.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : E to SE 20 to 30 in the east at first, otherwise N to NE 15 to
25 reaching 35 in the extreme west at first and in the north-
central by the second half of the period. It will become
cyclonic to S 15 to 25 in the south-west by during the course
of the first period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the east and
central.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m reaching 6.0m in the north-east in the first, S to
SE swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : S to SE 15 to 25 but NE 15 to 25 in the extreme south-west.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers in the extreme north.

MADAGASCAR EAST:

MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 40 in the first half of the
period, becoming variable 05 to 15 in the central by the
second half of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the west at first,
spreading to the central and east in the first of the period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m reaching 6.5 to 8.5m in west and central spreading to
the east towards mid-period, SW swell in the east at first
otherwise NW.
