NE 35 in the extreme west spreading towards the central parts by the

the end of the period.
3. MARION FORTIES EAST: S to SE 35 to 45 in the north-west spreading
towards the north-east while it reaches 50 to 55 over the north-

CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : NW 20 to 30 in the north-east at first, otherwise W to SW 20
to 30 reaching 35 to 45 over the south-central parts, but E to
NE 25 to 35 in the extreme west spreading towards the central
parts by the end of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the south. SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m reaching 6.0 to 7.0m over the central parts
spreading towards east by mid-period while it reaches 9.0 to
10.0m, S to SW swell, but SE swell over the central parts, as
well as SW swell in the extreme west.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : N to NW 15 to 25, but S to SW 20 to 30 reaching 35 in the
extreme west spreading towards the south-east by mid-period.
It will become NE 15 to 25 in the extreme south-west reaching
35 by the end of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the west spreading
towards the east by mid-period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m in the west reaching 6.0 to 6.5m in the south-
west, spreading towards the east by the end of the period,
SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : SE 15 to 25 reaching 30 in the extreme north and south-west.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers in the extreme north and south.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south-west, SW swell.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : E to SE 20 to 30, but N to NE 15 to 25 in the south. It will
become SE 20 to 30 in the south-west by mid-period.
VIS : Moderate in light showers and thundershowers but poor in the
north-east.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the north, E to SE swell.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : W to NW 25 to 35 in the north-east at first, otherwise S to SE
20 to 30 reaching 35 to 45 in the north-west spreading towards
the north-east while it reaches 50 to 55 over the north-
central parts by mid-period.
VIS : Good in the extreme south, otherwise moderate to poor in
showers.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the north, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m but 8.0 to 9.0m
in the north-west spreading towards the north-east by the end
of the mid-period, S to SE swell.

– Low 965 near 52S/75E with cold front (CF) axis 38S/67E, 39S/75E, 42S/82E, 48S/83E, 51S/82E, moving eastward.
– Low 985 near 41S/37E, expected 993 near 37S/50E at end. Associated warm front (WG) axis 42S/42E, 42S/52E, 41S/57E extending in an occluded front near the center of low. Associated cold front (CG) axis 8S/33E, 37S/42E, 42S/E. All moving east-north-eastwa rd.

WAM (30S/40S, 50E/65E):
Rain and showers over southern area with WF, then rain, showers and thundery squalls from western area with CF. Showers and thundery squalls with the occluded front at in far south-western.
WIND: anticlockwise 3/5 over north-eastern area, but W to NW 5/7 with gusts elsewhere. Later, NW 5/7 but clockwise 6/8 in west, locally 9 in far south-west. Severe gusts.
SEA: rough to very rough from north to south, then high in west later. SW swell 3 to 4 m, then W swell 5 to 7m in west later.
VISI: poor or very poor precipitations.
AMS (30S/40S, 65E/80E):
Light rain and showers over southern area.
WIND: W 5/7 but 8/9 in far south. Severe gusts. Becoming later, anticlockwise 3/5 in north and NW 6/7 with gusts in south.
SEA: very rough to high, locally very high in far south-east, and rough in far north. SW swell 3 to 5m, but 6 to 8m in south-east.
VISI: poor in precipitations.
CRO (40S/50S, 50E/65E):
Frontal rain, showers and squalls (locally thundery) mainly over northern area.
WIND: SW 4/6 in east, E to SE 5/7 elsewhere but NW 5/7 in far north. Gusts. Becoming S 5/6 in far south, SE 6/8 locally 9 elsewhere but NW 6/7 in far north-east. Severe gusts.
SEA: very rough to high, becoming rough to very rough over southern area later. W to SW swell 5 to 7m abating 3 to 5m. W to NW swell 5 to 7m in far north-west later.
VISI : poor or very poor in precipitations.
KER (40S/50S, 65E/80E):
Showers (snowy in south), then frontal rain, showers and squalls later over northern area.
WIND : W to SW 7/9. Severe gusts. Decreasing temporarily variable 3/5 in west, before to become later over northern area, NW 6/7 at north of WF and E 6/7 at south of WF with gusts.
SEA : high to very high, becoming later very rough to high from western area. W to SW swell 6 to 8m abating 4 to 6m.
VISI : poor or very poor in precipitations.
