WIND : S to SE 10 to 15, but SW 05 to 15 in the east.
VIS : Good, but good in fog in the extreme east.
ST HELENA (15S/30S, 00E/20W):
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20 in the north, otherwise N to NW 15 to 25 but
S to SW 10 to 20 in the south-west spreading towards the
south-east while it reaches 30 in the extreme south-east by
mid-period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the south-east.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in the extreme south-west at first, SW swell.
TRADES (15S/30S, 00E/WEST COAST):
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20, but N to NW 10 to 20 in the south-west
becoming SW15 to 25 by mid-period.
VIS : Good, but poor in fog patches in the extreme east, as well as
poor in a band of showers in the south-west in the second half
of the period.
TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):
WIND : W to SW 15 to 25 reaching 30 in the south-west spreading
towards the south-east by the of the period.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain in places.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m reaching 5.0m in the south-east in the first half
of the period, SE swell but SW swell in the west.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : N to NE 20 to 30 in the east reaching 35 in the extreme south-
east by mid-period, otherwise N to NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to
40 over the south-central parts, but W to SW 10 to 20 in the
extreme south-west spreading towards the central parts by the
end of the period.
VIS : Good but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, spreading towards the south-east by mid-period,
reaching 4.5m in the extreme south-west at first, W to SW
swell.
