CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : NW 25 to 35 in the east for the first half of the period,
otherwise W to SW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 40 over the central
and eastern parts but 45 to 50 in the south-east. It will
become NE to E 20 to 30 in the west from mid-period reaching
35 towards the end of the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, becoming good in the
west from mid-period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 6.0m reaching 7.0 to 9.0m over the central parts
spreading to the eastern parts by mid-period while reaching
10.0 to 11.0m over the south-eastern parts towards the end of
the period, with mainly W to SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : N to NW 15 to 25 but S to SW 20 to 30 in the west spreading to
the central parts by end of the period while reaching 35 in
the west for the first half of the period.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in the west.

VIS : Good, becoming moderate in showers and rain in the south-west
from mid-period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south-west from mid-period, with SW swell.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : E to SE 15 to 25 but NE to E 10 to 20 in the south.
VIS : Good in the south, otherwise moderate in light showers.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the north, with E to SE swell.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : S to SE 15 to 25 reaching 30 to 40 over central parts but 45
to 50 in the north.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain over the central and
northern parts, otherwise good.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south with W to SW swell, otherwise 4.0 to
6.0m with S swell, reaching 7.0 to 9.0m in the north but 10.0m
