WIND : N to NW 25 to 30 in the extreme east until mid-period,
reaching 35 to 45 in the extreme south-east, otherwise W to SW
30 to 40, reaching 45 in the north-west at first, moderating
to 15 to 25 in the west by mid-period.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain, becoming good in the extreme
west towards the end of the period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m in the north-east, otherwise 6.0 to 7.0m, reaching
8.0 to 9.0m in the west at first, spreading to the central
parts by mid-period, S to SW swell, but NW in the east until
mid-period.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : S to SW 15 to 25 in the west, spreading to the south-east by
the end of the period, reaching 35 in the south-west until

MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 15 to 25 in the east, 35 to 45 in places, otherwise W
to SW 30 to 40, reaching 50 in the south-west by the end of
the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain at times.
SEA STATE: 5.0 to 6.0m, but 7.0 to 8.0m in the west where it will reach
9.0 to 10m in places, W to NW swell. It will become 11.0 to
11.5m, SW swell in the south-west by the end of the period.
