GALE FORCE WARNINGS:

1. ST HELENA : W to NW 35 in the extreme south-west at first.
2. CAPE WEST : S to SW 35 to 45 in the east and central in the
first half of the period and NW to N 35 in the
south-west towards the end of the period.
3. CAPE EAST : N to NW 35 to 50 in the east and central, as well as SW 35
to 45 in the west and central spreading to the east by end
of the period.
4. DURBAN EAST: NE to N 35 in the central and SW 35 to 40 in the extreme
south-west.
6. MARION FORTIES EAST: N to NW 35 to 45 reaching 55 to 60 in the south-
west by the first half of the period.

CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 20 to 30 in the east and central reaching 35 to 50 in
the east and central, otherwise SW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to
45 in the west and central spreading to the east by end of the
period.
VIS : Good in the east at first, otherwise moderate to poor in
showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 6.0m reaching 7.5 to 10.0m in the west spreading to the
central by end of the period, SW to W swell but ant-cyclonic
in the east.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : NE to N 15 to 25 reaching 30 to 35 in the west and central
but SW 20 to 30 in the south-west by the but 35 to 40 in the
extreme south-west.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain in places, otherwise
good.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m but 6.0 to 8.5m in the south-west by mid-period,
SW swell but cyclonic in the west.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 10 to 20 in the south and central in the first
half of the period, otherwise SE to E 10 to 20. It will become
NW to N 15 to 25 becoming SW 15 to 25 in the extreme south-
west by the second half of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in the north.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : SE 15 to 25 in the north, otherwise E to NE 15 to 25.
VIS : Moderate in showers in places, but good in the south.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 35 to 45 reaching 55 to 60 in
the south-west by the first half of the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain at times.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 6.0m reaching 7.0 to 9.5m in the west and central by
mid-period spreading east by mid-period, NW to W
swell.

Low 967 near 45S/62E, moving rather quickly east-south-eastward, expected 963 near 51S/83E the 14/08 at 06UTC. Associated cold front (CF) axis 28S/55E, 35S/66E, 45S/71E and warm front (WF) axis 46S/62E, 47S/76E, 43S/84E, all moving east-south-eastward.
Low 965 near 46S/26E, moving east-south-eastward and deepening, expected 937 near 50S/35E the 14/08 at 06UTC. Associated warm front (WG) axis 46S/26E, 41S/41E moving east-south-eastward. At end, associated cold front (CG) over western CRO and far south-western WAM.

WAM (30S/40S,50E/65E) :
Rain and showers with CF over far north-eastern at first. Showers and squalls behind CF over eastern area at first. Then rain, showers and squalls with CG over far south-western area at end.
WIND : anticlockwise 3/5, but W 6/8 with severe gusts in far south becoming gradually N to NW 5/7
increasing 6/8 with severe gusts from west.
SEA : Very rough to high, becoming soon rough over north-western area. SW swell 4 to 6m, abating.
VIS : Poor or very poor in precipitations.
