period and in the extreme west towards the end of the
period, otherwise W to SW 35 to 45, reaching 50 in places
in the south-west.

WIND : S to SE 10 to 20, reaching 25 in the extreme south from mid-
period but S to SW 05 to 15 in the east.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the south-east from mid-period, SW swell.
ST HELENA (15S/30S, 00E/20W):
WIND : E to SE 10 to 20 in the north, otherwise anti-cyclonic 05 to
15, reaching 20 to 25 in the extreme south-east at first but
NW 15 to 25 in the south-west, spreading to the south-east
towards the end of the period.
VIS : Good.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south, reaching 4.5 to 5.0m in the extreme
south-east, SW swell.
TRADES (15S/30S, 00E/WEST COAST):
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20, reaching 25 to 30 in the north-east but W to
NW 15 to 25 in the south during the first half of the period
reaching 30 in the extreme south, becoming SW 15 to 25 in the
south-west towards mid-period spreading eastwards. It will
become anti-cyclonic 05 to 15 in the south-west towards the
end of the period.
VIS : Good.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south reaching 4.5 to 5.0m in the
extreme south-west spreading northwards, SW swell.
TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):
WIND : SW 20 to 30 in the east reaching 35 to 45 in the south-east
during the first half of the period, and in the south-west
towards the end of the period, otherwise W to NW 15 to 25,
reaching 35 to 45 in the extreme west spreading to the central
parts by mid-period and to the east towards the end of the
period.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain in the east at first, and in the
west, spreading to the east by mid-period, otherwise good.
SEA STATE: 6.0 to 7.0m reaching 8.0 to 9.0m in the south-east at first,
otherwise 3.0 to 4.0m reaching 4.5 to 5.0m, SW swell.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : N to NW 25 to 35 in the east during the first half of the
period and in the extreme west towards the end of the period,
otherwise W to SW 35 to 45, reaching 50 in places in the
south-west.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m but 5.5 to 6.5m in the west, reaching 7.5 to 8.5m
in the south-west spreading to the central parts by mid-period
where it will reach 10.0 to 11.0m and to the south-east
