1. CAPE EAST: N to NW 35 in the central parts. It will become W to SW 25
to 35 in the extreme west towards mid-period, spreading to
the central parts whilst reaching 40 in places.
2. DURBAN EAST: SW 35 in the extreme south-west towards the end of the
period.
3. MARION FORTIES EAST: NW to W 35 to 45 in the west towards the end of
the period. It will become SW to S 35 in the west
towards the end of the period, reaching 45 to 50
in places.

CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 05 to 15 in the east, otherwise N to NW 15 to
25, reaching 35 in the central parts. It will become W to SW
25 to 35 in the extreme west towards mid-period, spreading to
the central parts whilst reaching 40 in places.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in the extreme south-
west and spreading northwards and eastwards to cover the west-
central parts by mid-period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the west towards mid-
period but 7.0m in places in the west in the second half of
the period, SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Cyclonic 15 to 25 in the east, reaching 30 in places at first,
otherwise Anti-cyclonic 05 to 15, but N to NE 20 to 30 in the
west. It will become SW 25 to 35 in the extreme south-west
towards the end of the period.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in placed in the east,
as well as in the extreme south-west towards the end of the
period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, in the south, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the extreme
south-west towards the end of the period, SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : NE 10 to 20 in the south-west, otherwise SE to S 10 to 20.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers in the extreme north at times.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 in the south, otherwise SE to E 10 to 20,
reaching 25 at times in the extreme north-west.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in places in the north.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : NW to W 15 to 25, reaching 30 in places but 35 to 45 in the
west towards the end of the period. It will become SW to S 25
to 35 in the west towards the end of the period, reaching 45
to 50 in places.
VIS : Good in the north-east at first, otherwise moderate to poor in
showers and rain in places.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m reaching 5.5m in the east at first, SW swell. It
will become 5.0 to 6.0m NW to W swell in the west in the
second half of the period.

WAM (30S/40S, 50E/65E):
Showers. Severe gusts over southern. Squalls over north-western area at end.
WIND: W or SW 3 to 5 over northern, 5 to 7 over southern at firs.
Increasing 6 to 7 locally 8 over south-eastern soon, E 5/6 over far
north-western. Gusts.
SEA : Very rough to high. Long SW swell 6/8 m abating 3/5m by western
area.
