CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : SW 10 to 15 in the extreme east, otherwise but N to NW 10 to
20 but SW 15 to 25 in the west. It will become NW to W 20 to
30 in the extreme west mid-period, reaching 35 to 40 in the
south-west spreading east and north.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain in places in the west spreading
east, otherwise good.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the west but 6.0
to 8.0 in the extreme east, SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 10 in the east, otherwise N to NW 15 to 25 but
SW 10 to 20 in the extreme west spreading east. It will become
Variable 10 in the south-west towards the end of the period
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain the south-west spreading south-east.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in the extreme south-east at first, SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : N to NE 05 to 15 in the south-west, otherwise E to SE 10
to 20 reaching 25 in the extreme north-east.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers in the extreme north at times.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : S to SE 20 to 30, but Variable 05 to 10 in the central parts.
VIS : Moderate in showers in places.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in the extreme north, E to SE swell.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : SW 15 to 25 in the east, otherwise variable 05 to 10 but
N to NE 10 to 20 in the west 25 to 35 in the south-west first
half of the period, becoming NW 15 to 25 in the extreme west
mid-period. It will become S to SW 15 to 25 in the extreme
west towards end of the period.
VIS : Good becoming moderate in showers and thundershowers in the
west from mid-period, spreading east.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the east, Mainly SE swell and SW swell in the
south-west towards the end of the first half of the period.
