to 40 in the south-west at first, spreading to the south-
central parts towards mid-period and to the east by the end of
the period.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain, becoming good in the west by
mid-period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, but 5.0 to 6.0m in places in the east, reaching
7.0m over the extreme eastern parts, subsiding in the west by
mid-period, S to SW swell.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : N to NW 15 to 25 in the north, reaching 35 to 45 in places,
otherwise SW 20 to 30, reaching 35 to 40 in the south-east
until mid-period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in places, but 7.0 to 8.0m
in south-west at first, spreading to the south-east at times W
