WIND : W to NW 15 to 25, reaching 35 to 45 in the extreme west,
spreading to the central parts by mid-period and to the south-
east by the end of the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m in the extreme east, otherwise 6.0 to 7.0m,
reaching 8.0 to 8.5m in places, but 9.0m over the central
parts at first, W to SW swell, but N to NW in the east.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 05 to 15 in the north-west, spreading to the
north-central parts, otherwise W to NW 15 to 25 reaching 30 in
the south-west, becoming SW 10 to 20 in the extreme south-west
towards the end of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in extreme south-east.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the west, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the south-
west but 7.0 to 8.0m in the extreme south-west at first, SW
swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20, but N to NW 15 to 25 in the south-west.

MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20, but variable 05 to 15 in the extreme south.
