period, as well as in the south-west towards the end of the period,
otherwise S to SW 35 to 45 over the central parts spreading towards
the south-east by the end of the period.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south spreading towards the north by the
end of the period, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the south but 7.0m
in the extreme south, SW swell.
TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 05 over the central parts, otherwise S to SW 15
to 25 but N to NW 20 to 30 in the west reaching 35 to 40 in
the south-west spreading towards the south-east towards the
end of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the west
spreading towards the east by the end of the period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the east at first, as
well as in the extreme south-west spreading towards the south-
east by the end of the period while reaching 7.0 to 8.0m in
the extreme south-west, W to SW swell but NW swell in the
north-west.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : N to NW 25 to 35 in the extreme east in the first half of the
period, as well as in the south-west towards the end of the
period, otherwise S to SW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 45 over the
central parts spreading towards the south-east by the end of
the period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain, becoming good from the
west by mid-period
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m reaching 5.0 to 6.0m in the west, but 8.0 to 9.0m
in the north-west spreading towards the east by mid-period,
subsiding in the west by the end of the period, W to SW swell.
CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : S to SW 15 to 25 over the central parts spreading towards the
north-east by mid-period, otherwise N to NW 15 to 25 reaching
35 in the extreme in the extreme south-west spreading towards
the north-west by mid-period. It will become S to SW 40 to 50
in the extreme west at the end of the period.
VIS : Good over the central parts, otherwise moderate in showers and
rain, becoming poor in the extreme west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in places, reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the west but
8.0 to 9.0m in the extreme west by the end of the period, W to
SW swell
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : N to NW 15 to 25 in the east, otherwise W to SW 15 to 25
reaching 30 over the central parts, as well as 35 to 40 in the
extreme south-west by the end of the period, but NE 15 to
25 in the extreme west reaching 35 to 40 by mid-period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and thundershowers in the east
in the first half of the period.
