otherwise S to SE 10 to 20. It will become SW 25 to 35 in the
south-west from mid-period spreading to the south-eastern
parts by end of the period.
VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in the south-west
spreading to the south-eastern parts by end of the period.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in places in the south, reaching 4.0 to 5.0m in the
south-west from mid-period but 6.0 to 7.0m in the extreme
south-west towards the end of the period, with SW swell.
TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):
WIND : W to SW 25 to 35 reaching 40 in places in the east for the
first half of the period but variable 05 to 10 in the west
spreading to the central parts by end of the period. It will
become N to NW 25 to 35 in the west towards the end of the
period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain in the east, otherwise
good. It will become moderate to poor in showers and rain in
the west towards the end of the period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 6.0m reaching 7.0 to 7.5m over the central and north-
eastern parts, with W to SW swell. It will subside to 3.0 to
3.5m over the western parts from mid-period.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 in the south-east but SW to W 30 to 40
in the west spreading to the central parts by mid-period.
VIS : Good in the east for the first half of the period, otherwise
poor in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the east, otherwise 4.5 to 5.5m reaching 6.0 to
7.0m in places in the south and west but 7.5 to 8.0m in the
north-west from mid-period, with mainly W to SW swell.
