VIS : Good but moderate in showers and rain in the south spreading
to the central parts by end of the period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south, reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the extreme
south from mid-period while reaching 6.0m in the extreme
south-east towards the end of the period, with mainly SW
swell.
TRADES (15S/30S, 00E/WEST COAST):
WIND : S to SE 10 to 20 reaching 25 in the south-east for the first
half of the period but NW to W 15 to 25 in the south-west
reaching 30 from mid-period.
VIS : Good, becoming moderate in showers and rain in the south-west
from mid-period.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in places in the south, reaching 4.0 to 5.0m in the
south-west towards the end of the period, with SW swell.
TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):
WIND : W to SW 25 to 35 reaching 40 in places. It will become anti-
cyclonic 05 over the western parts from mid-period.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain. It will become good over
the western parts from mid-period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 6.0m reaching 6.5 to 7.5m over the western and central
parts spreading to the north-eastern parts by mid-period, with
W to SW swell. It will subside to 3.0 to 4.0m in the west from
mid-period.
CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):
WIND : Anti-cyclonic 05 to 10 in the north-east for the first half of
the period, otherwise N to NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 45 in
the south-western parts spreading eastwards to the central and
south-eastern parts by mid-period. It will become W to SW 30
to 40 in the west towards the end of the period.
VIS : Good but poor to very poor in showers and rain in the west
spreading to the central parts by mid-period.
SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m, reaching 5.5 to 6.5m in the west spreading to the
central and south-eastern parts towards the end of the period,
with mainly W to SW swell.
