WIND : S to SE 15 to 25 in the east, otherwise N to NE 15 to 25, but
W to NW 15 to 25 in the extreme west. It will become variable
05 to 10 in the extreme south-east towards the end of the
period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the extreme south-
west by the end of the period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, W to SW swell.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 10 in the south-east at first, otherwise E to
SE 10 to 20 but NE 10 to 20 in the extreme south-west.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers in places in the east.
SEA STATE: 3.0m in the south-central parts, S to SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : E to SE 10 to 20, reaching 25 in the south-east.
VIS : Moderate in showers, becoming good in the south by mid-period.

WIND : N to NW 15 to 25 in the extreme west, spreading to the east
towards the end of the period, reaching 35 to 45 in the south-
west from mid-period, otherwise anti-cyclonic 05 to 10, but S
to SW 15 to 25 in the extreme east at first.
VIS : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain in the south-
west from mid-period.
SEA STATE: 4.0 to 5.0m, becoming 3.0 to 3.5m in the north-west by mid-
period, spreading to north-east towards the end of the period
while reaching 6.0 to 7.0m in the extreme south-west, W to NW
swell.

Rain and frontal showers moving north-eastward with CF.
WIND: anticlockwise 3/5, increasing NW 6/7 ahead of CF and backing SW
then S 6/7 behind.
SEA : rough to very rough from north to south, temporary moderate over
North-western. SW swell 2 to 3 m.
VIS : poor under precipitation.
AMS (30S/40S,65E/80E) :
Frontal rain and showers over far southwestern with CF at end.
WIND: Anticlockwise 3/5, temporary SW 6/7 over far south-eastern at
start. Increasing NW 6/7 soon over southwestern ahead of CF.
SEA : rough to very rough temporary high over far south-eastern at start.
SW swell 3/4 m decreasing 2/3 m by western.
VIS : mainly good becoming poor over far southwestern at end
CRO (40S/50S,50E/65E) :
Rain and frontal showers with CF, leaving the area by north-eastern at end.
WIND: NW 7/8 ahead of CF, backing SW 6/7 behind locally 8 over far
north-eastern at end. Violent gusts near the front. Becoming
anticlockwise 3/5 by southwestern later.
SEA : very rough, temporarily high in the far south at start. W swell 3
to 5 m.
VIS : poor to very poor under precipitation.
KER (40S/50S,65E/80E) :
Frontal rains and showers with CF over southwestern soon.
WIND: Anticlockwise 3/5, temporary S 6/7 over far north-eastern at start.
Increasing NW 6/7 over southwestern ahead of CF and backing
southerly 6/7 locally 8 behind.
SEA : rough to very rough, temporary high over far north-eastern at
start. S swell 4/5 m over far north-eastern at start, W swell 2/3 m
increasing 4/5 m by western.
