VIS : Moderate in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m reaching 4.5 to 5.0m in the south, SW swell but
NW over the central parts.
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : Variable 05 to 15 in the south-west, otherwise E to NE 15 to
25 but NW 10 to 20 in the extreme west.
VIS : Moderate in showers and rain in places.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : S to SE 15 to 25 but variable 05 to 15 in the south.

Cold front (CF) over far eastern AMS at first, moving eastward.
High 1028 near 34S/54E, moving eastward.
Low 968 near 52S/27E, moving rather quickly south-eastward and deepening,
expected 940 near 60S/41E the 19/06 at 12UTC. Associated warm front (WG)
over south-western CRO at first, then over far western KER at end.
Associated cold front (CG) over south-wes tern CRO at end, preceded by
squalls line over north-western CRO and south-western WAM.
PART 3: FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS from 18/06/24 at 1800 UTC to 19/06/24 at
1800 UTC :
WAM (30S/40S,50E/65E) :
Few showers, but showers and squalls locally thundery in south-west at
end with squalls line.
WIND: SW 5/6 over far south-eastern at first, but anticlockwise 3/5
elsewhere. Becoming soon over south-western area NW 5/6 locally 7
with gusts.
SEA : Rough or very rough by SW swell 3 to 5 m abating 2 to 3 m, but
moderate over far north-western.
VISI: Good, but poor or very poor in precipitations at end.
AMS (30S/40S,65E/80E) :
Frontal rain and showers CF and squalls over far north-eastern.
Scattered showers elsewhere, more frequent in south.
WIND: NW 5/6 with gust ahead of CF, but backing W or SW 4/6 behind, then
anticlockwise 3/4 at end over western area.
SEA : Rough or very rough by SW swell 3 to 5 m behind CF.
VIS : Poor or very poor in precipitations.
CRO (40S/50S,50E/65E) :
Frontal rain and showers with WG and CG, locally thundery squalls with CG.
Showers and thundery squalls in north-west at end with squalls line.
WIND: W or SW 4/6 veering gradually NW 4/5 from west , then increasing
6/7 with gusts, locally 8 in the vicinity of CG. Backing SW 5/6 at
end over far south-western behind CG.
SEA : Rough or very rough. W to SW swell 3 to 5 m abating 2 to 4 m.
VIS : Poor or very poor in precipitations.
KER (40S/50S,65E/80E) :
Showers, then frontal rain and showers WG over far western at end (locally
snow over far south-western)
WIND: W or SW 5/6, locally 7 with gusts. Decreasing SW 4/5 later in west
but increasing NW 5/6 at end over far south-western.
