extreme north-west spreading towards the north-central parts by the
end of the period while reaching 45 to 50.

CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 in the extreme south-east, but
cyclonic 35 to 45 in the west spreading to the central parts
by the end of the period while becoming anti-cyclonic in the
extreme south-west by the end of the period.
VIS : Good in the north, otherwise moderate to poor in showers and
rain, clearing from the south-west by the end of the period.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 5m in the central and eastern
parts spreading the south-east in the first half on the
period, but 5.0 to 6.0m touching 6.5 to 7m in places in the
west, spreading north-eastwards to the central parts by the
end of the period. Mainly NE to N swell but W to SW in the
west
DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):
WIND : N to NW 10 to 20 in the north-west, otherwise NE 15 to 25,
becoming S to SW 20 to 30 in the south-west by mid-period
while reaching 35 to 40 in the extreme south-west spreading
towards the extreme north-west in the second half of the
period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the east and south-
west.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south-west reaching 5.0 to 5.5m in the
south-west in the second half of the period, SW swell.
MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:
WIND : E to SE 10 to 20 in the north, reaching 25 in the north-east,
otherwise N to NW 10 to 15. It will become SW 15 to 25 in the
extreme south-west by the end of the period.
VIS : Good, but moderate in showers in the extreme east.
MADAGASCAR EAST:
WIND : E to SE to S 10 to 20, reaching 25 in the north-west, but NE
15 to 25 in the extreme south-west.
VIS : Moderate in showers and thundershowers in places.
MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):
WIND : N to NW 20 to 30 reaching 35 to 40 over the central parts
spreading eastwards by mid-period. It will become W to SW
15 to 25 in the west by mid-period reaching 35 to 40 in the
extreme north-west spreading towards the north-central parts
by the end of the period while reaching 45 to 50.
VIS : Moderate to poor in showers and rain.
SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m reaching 4.5 to 5.5m in the north-central
spreading towards the south-east by mid-period while touching
6.0m as well as in the extreme south-west by the end of the
period, SW swell in the south-east at first, otherwise N to NW
swell.
